We provide DSL service within the 480, 602, 623 and 928 area codes. This includes the Phoenix, Cottonwood, Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona and Yuma Arizona areas.

DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) allows you to connect to the internet at high speeds. DSL breaks the phone line into two parts, one for voice and faxes and one for data. So you can make a phone call or send a fax while you are connected to the Internet with DSL. You will no longer need a second phone line or cable to handle your Internet Access. DSL is a dedicated Internet connection so you never have to dial-up to be connected, if your computer is on you are connected.

DSL is also very fast. Speeds range from 256KB to 7MB. With a 256KB DSL line, if you were to download or send a picture that would take a minute on a 28.8 modem, it would take six seconds on DSL. If it would have been an hour using a modem, it will only take six minutes on DSL.

If you have more than one computer, you don't need a second DSL line. You can plug both computers into one DSL line and use them both on the Internet at the same time; there is no extra charge for more than one computer.

2. Determine which bandwidth/service you desire
3. Determine if to rent or buy modem
4. Determine IP requirements - standard is dynamic IP, businesses might require static IP's for e-mail servers or web servers at their location.
5. If you have an alarm on same phone line, Qwest recommends calling Alarm company before ordering to ensure there are no issues. You should have Alarm company test to ensure things work after DSL installed.
6. Place order with Inphoenet - we will complete the order - Qwest takes 5-7 days to install
7. Complete Inphoenet Worksheet - completed at same time as order or shortly thereafter
8. Receive DSL modem in mail - read instructions to prepare
9. Receive account information from Inphoenet in mail
10. DSL activate date reached
11. Install modem, connect computer and run setup program with account information
12. Test by opening your favorite web site in your browser
13. Install filters on other phones using same line (except the one the computer is on); this includes automatic water meter readers. The phone/fax that is on the same wire with the computer gets plugged into the back of the modem which acts as a filter.
14. Test phones, faxes and other equipment that had a filter installed
